Being able to visit the university, get a feel for the place and find out all the relevant information about the course, finance and university life, made me even more certain that this is where I definitely want to study!

Sport Open & Applicant Days

If you are interested in studying Sport at Cardiff Met, or have already applied for one of our undergraduate sport courses, the information listed below should act as a guide with regards to both the Pre-Applicant Sport Open Days and Post-Applicant Days that we run.

Q. I am considering applying to Cardiff Met for Sport, what is the best Open Day to attend?
Every year we run a series of Pre-Applicant Sport Open Days in October. These are designed for people who are unsure whether to make an application to Cardiff Met and would like the opportunity to look around facilities and talk to course tutors more about the range of sport courses available.

Q. How do I book onto these events?
Booking for these events is essential. Please note, spaces are limited on these Pre-Applicant Sport Open Days. Both our advertised dates on the 9th October 2013 and 23rd October 2013 are now fully booked.

Q. Are these the only Sport Open Days?
Yes these are the only Pre-Applicant Sport Open Days. However we also run a series of Sport Applicant Days from November until May. These days are designed for people who have already applied to the university. When invited you are expected to attend these applicant days to show your commitment to applying for the course.

Q. How do I book onto one of these events?
You cannot book onto a Sport Applicant Day; you have to be specifically invited. In order to receive an invitation you will need to have applied and meet, or be predicted to meet, the entry requirements of the course you wish to apply for. Please refer to the individual course descriptions for entry requirements.

Applicants are also expected to have a strong sporting profile, which should be detailed in your personal statement on your UCAS form if you intend to apply.
