Sports Biomedicine & Nutrition
Our course focuses on the scientific study of all aspects of lifestyle and the strategies that can be employed to improve health. Emphasis is placed on the role that exercise, health promotion and nutrition contribute to this end. The course includes a series of fundamental science-based modules in human physiology, nutrition, biochemistry and psychology.
You will learn how appropriate changes to lifestyle, such as exercise and a healthy diet, may be effective in preventing diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and strokes. Innovative approaches to sports medicine will also allow you to gain experience in the rapidly expanding area of ‘exercise prescription’.
Watch our video to find out more about our two programmes, or come and see us at a Cardiff School of Health Sciences Open Day.
