A telephone helpdesk service – 029 2041 7000 – is available from 8 am until 9 pm. Staffed by friendly IT support advisors, this is the first port-of-call for IT queries when off campus.

Each learning centre houses a dedicated team of IT advisors. These advisors provide high-quality support to staff and students, and maintain the IT suites.

Cardiff Met offers several IT training sessions for staff and students. Some of the topics include:

  • PowerPoint 2007
  • Word 2007
  • Excel 2007
  • Using Your UWIC My Site
  • Converting to Office 2007

The courses are interactive and allow students to follow the trainer on a provided computer. Training sessions are available at two levels: Introductory (Getting Started with…) and Intermediate (Getting More Out Of…).
