Facilities

The Speech and Language Therapy department also uses a Speech Science Laboratory which offers specialist equipment, computers and software to support learning and research in Linguistics, Voice, Phonetics, Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC). The laboratory is also used for preparing clinical materials for placement.

An in-house clinic runs during term-time with observation and recording facilities. This is used by clinical staff members who provide student placements on-site in both welsh and English speaking clinics.

There is a clinical resource room next to the clinic containing reading packs, audio and video recording equipment and up-to-date clinical assessment and therapy materials exclusively for use by our students. A toy library is also based in the clinic.

The University has an excellent learning centre for students with access to IT suites, flexible learning spaces and the University library. A clinical practice section is also provided with specific SLT clinical material. Please click here to view virtual tours of our learning facilities.
