Green Waste

Key risks to employees’ in the composting industry include exposure to dust, bioaerosols, endotoxins and glucans.

 

Endotoxins and Glucans can be used as an indicator of the bioaerosol concentration in ambient air.

UWIC are currently undertaking a number of research studies investigating endotoxin levels at facilities composting both green and food waste.


The CHSE offers a full range of occupational monitoring and health screening services which include:
