Are you looking for a change of career or to build upon existing skills and interests in Complementary Therapies?

Complementary therapies are part of an integrated approach to health and healthcare. The challenge for complementary therapists and mainstream medical service providers is to work together to produce better outcomes for patients and clients.

The BSc (Hons) Complementary Therapies programme at Cardiff Metropolitan University involves study in three bodywork modalities: holistic massage; clinical aromatherapy; and reflexology. A professional standard of bodywork is ensured by three professional bodies: the Massage Training Institute (MTI); the Association of Reflexologists (AoR); the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA). All three professional bodies are recognised as key in their field.

There is also a strong emphasis on developing research skills and contributing to research capacity within the complementary therapies field. To encourage undergraduates on the programme a prize is awarded to the final year student with the best undergraduate dissertation.
