Please note there is currently no intake planned for the MBA Advanced Entry Course at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Our Recognised Progression Institutions may have dedicated intakes in the near future - please contact the relevant institute for further information.
The MBA Advanced Entry Programme (MBA Top Up) is specially designed for students that hold an approved Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma in a Management subject. Students with this qualification have the opportunity to apply directly for the Dissertation Phase of the MBA, ‘topping-up’ their Post Graduate Diploma into a Cardiff Metropolitan MBA.
The course consists of the Research Methods Module and the Dissertation Phase of the MBA, making it a popular choice with individuals committed to developing their careers in senior management and who therefore need an understanding of all the major functions of business and management, to complement their existing knowledge. Full course information can be found in the following brochure:
On Campus brochure - please note fees to be updated.

I don’t have a Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma, am I still able to apply for the course?
Unfortunately only students holding a Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma can apply for the MBA Advanced Entry Course. Other students may apply for the full time MBA.
I have a Post Graduate Diploma awarded in place of an MBA from a different institution, can I apply for the course?
Yes you may. However please note that to consider your application we will need to see all of your transcripts and there may be a delay in the process.
I already have a Masters, can I use this towards the MBA Advanced Entry?
No, only a Post Graduate Diploma can be used towards the MBA Advanced Entry.
Will ‘Advanced Entry’ appear on my final MBA certificate?
The MBA Advanced Entry course is designed to give candidates exactly the same experience as Full Time MBA students, therefore your certificate will be for a Cardiff Metropolitan MBA, with no reference to the method in which it was obtained.
What can I expect from the Academic Entry Test?
The Academic Entry Test will confirm the basic knowledge that students obtained during their Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma. The questions test your knowledge on general business and management issues.
