The Plas Gwyn campus is located in the small, pleasant cathedral 'city' of Llandaff, which is approximately two miles from Cardiff city centre. The campus is conveniently located for students attending the Llandaff campus. The Plas Gwyn halls are regularly served by the UWIC Rider which transports students between campuses and other Cardiff Bus routes,.
Plas Gwyn consists of 391 single study bedrooms, all of which are self-catered and have en suite bathroom facilities. The rooms are grouped in flats of eight in which students share communal kitchen/dining areas.
The halls are set in attractive landscaped grounds and benefit from facilities including an on site laundery, data room and communal TV room with vending machines. They are in close proximity to shopping, banking and other facilities at Llandaff and the sports and leisure facilities at the Llandaff campus itself.
At the Llandaff Campus, you will find seven days a week, 21 hours a day, internet access in the learning centre, a large student refectory and a new fitness centre, there is also a student union shop and bar.
All rooms have high-speed, unlimited internet access, wireless and IPTV included in the halls fees. All kitchens have a communal tv with Freeview.
Basic personal contents insurance cover is included for each resident. Details of your cover is provided within your welcome pack at arrival. Should you wish to make an insurance claim you will need to contact the insurance company directly.
There are very limited parking spaces at Plas Gwyn – permits can be issued in exceptional circumstances.
