The Cyncoed campus has 534 single study bedrooms on campus. The majority of rooms at Cyncoed are catered, where students have meals included in the price of the room. The package entitles students to have two meals a day, 7 days per week. Meals are served in the main refectory on campus. There are usually eight students to each flat sharing bathroom facilities and the kitchen.
Although there are self catered halls on the Cyncoed campus, these are limited. The self catered standard block consists of eight rooms to each flat with bathroom and kitchen facilities. There are a small number of self catered en suite rooms at Cyncoed. The en suite block also has eight rooms to each flat where rooms have their own shower and WC facility. The kitchen is shared between eight students.
All rooms have high-speed, unlimited internet access, wireless and IPTV included in the halls fees. All kitchens have a communal tv with Freeview.
Basic personal contents insurance cover is included for each resident. Details of your cover is provided within your welcome pack at arrival. Should you wish to make an insurance claim you will need to contact the insurance company directly.
There are laundry facilities on site and students are able to use these 24 hours a day. The Cyncoed Campus is served by the university bus service - the UWIC Rider, and other Cardiff Bus routes.
Students resident at Cyncoed are well placed to take advantage of the extensive sports and recreational facilities located at the campus, including an indoor swimming pool, Students' Union bar/disco, indoor tennis centre and fitness suite.
There is no residential student parking on this campus.
