Profile

Dr Joselyn Sellen is a Chartered Psychologist, Senior Lecturer and Joint Programme Director for the MSc Forensic Psychology. Her main area of research is in offenders’ motivation and enhancing treatment engagement. Joselyn collaborates with colleagues at Bangor University and Nottingham University and actively engages with external partner organisations.

Joselyn currently has 2 PhD students in forensic psychology and publishes widely in this field. She has developed close collaborative links with prison and probation psychologists in South Wales and assists in the supervision of research projects for trainee psychologists based in these services, which augment the research programme.

Another research area of interest concerns the assessment of social problem Joselyn is an active member of the Offender Health Research Network for Wales, directed by Professor Pamela Taylor (Cardiff University) and the Forensic Psychology Research Group.
