Complementary Therapies Facilities

There are two fully equipped teaching rooms for the bodywork modules, one with massage tables and portable massage chairs, linen and related equipment for the massage and aromatherapy teaching, and the other with reflexology chairs. These areas are divided into separate treatment cubicles for clinics with members of the public. There is a variety of portable massage tables for hire by students for home use.

A range of teaching aids are used for anatomy and physiology instruction, including a skeleton, other models and charts. Sixty essential oils and a wide range of base oils are provided for practical use in the aromatherapy modules.

Learning groups on the bodywork modules normally have a maximum of twelve students so that each student receives considerable individual instruction in acquiring practical skills and adapting them to a range of clients.
