Projects


Cardiff School of Education SIP project with Teacher Support Network Cymru. December 2012 – December 2013. (Project leader) This project is a collaborative project with Teacher Support Network Cymru. This collaborative project will result in a joint conference on developing a teacher wellbeing conference to be held on 4th December 2013 at Cardiff Metropolitan University, Cyncoed Campus.  The collaborative work will also develop a set of training materials on wellbeing.

Cardiff School of Education SIP project with the Winding House Museum, New Tredegar.  January 2011 to June 2011. (Team member).  The project looked at how to improve and deliver Foundation Phase pedagogy in the museum setting.  

Profile


Susan Davis joined Cardiff Met as a Senior Lecturer in Early Childhood Studies in September 2004. Previously she taught in the field of Early Years Education in Nursery and Reception, before becoming a tutor on the CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education at Coleg Gwent Ebbw Vale.  She also taught with the Open University on their Early Childhood Studies Degree programmes. She is currently a senior lecturer on the PGCE primary programme, specialising in Foundation Phase education and teaches Early Childhood Studies on the BA (Hons) Educational studies with Early Childhood Studies within the Cardiff School of Education.

Susan has recently completed a professional Doctorate in Education (EdD)  entitled: Investigating the implementation of an emotional literacy programme on the pedagogy and reflective practice of trainee teachers.
