Profile

Ruth Coakley is Senior Lecturer in Primary Science for the School of Education. After 9 years working as a primary school teacher in both Wales and England, Ruth has a secondment to University of Wales Institute, Cardiff, where she lectures on both the BA and Primary course.

Ruth is currently undertaking an MA in Education at UWIC. Her research currently focuses on the effectiveness for learners, of mixed ability groupings, to enable successful delivery of 'Curriculum 2008' at KS2
