After completing my BA European Business Management there in 1992, I was employed at UWIC Colchester Avenue for the next 6 years in various roles, ending in 1998 as Project Assistant for 'LINES'. When the contract ended, I had to search for alternative employment which took me to a small family company (20 employees) in Barry, manufacturing and supplying safety systems to construction companies all round the world. My role as International Sales Manager took me to various countries during the 3 years, but after completing the PGCE here at UWIC in 1999, I realised I wanted to continue with teaching/training in some capacity. Part-time teaching and training has kept me afloat, and I am ready to start swimming again!
I'm an avid Welsh rugby supporter, owner of a gym membership card, (which rarely gets swiped), keen film critic with a passion for chocolate and wine (not necessarily together!) and a firm believer in living for today!
