Assessment: Optional; successful students will be awarded 20 credits at Level 6 and be eligible for the Continuing Education Award

Academic Credit: 20 credits at Level 7 (Masters Level)
Assessment: Optional; successful students will be awarded 20 credits at Level 7 and be eligible for the Professional Development Education Award

Payment must be received in full prior to commencement of the course. We accept payment by Credit or Debit Card. Payment is part of the enrolment process. Please ensure that you have read and agree with the terms and conditions contained within this document prior to purchasing the online course. Once payment is received you will be sent a confirmation email (to the address provided by you) with the link to the electronic enrolment portal. From the point of receiving payment there is a seven working day cancellation period with the exception of a payment received within seven working days of the course commencing.

Students from outside the UK please note: Your credit or debit card will convert your currency to GB Pounds for you in accordance with the conversion rate applied by the bank at that time.

Online course enrolment:
Completion of the enrolment form is an essential part of the enrolment process that will enable you to access the online course materials. Please complete the enrolment form in full and submit. A place on the course is only reserved when payment received and the subsequent enrolment form has been completed and submitted to cseenterprise@cardiffmet.ac.uk

Once enrolled the contract to provide this service is executed and no refunds will be issued after this time.

What happens after enrolment?
Once you have submitted your enrolment form Cardiff Met will:
• issue your student number via email; 
• issue your log in and password for Cardiff Met's virtual learning environment which will house the online programmes;
• provide an interactive 10 week online programme of learning;
• provide formal assessment, if desired, enabling successful students to gain academic credit;
• provide students with the opportunity to gain a Cardiff Metropolitan academic award upon successful completion of assessment.

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 you may cancel your enrolment up to the seventh working day from the date of the booking of a course (the "Cancellation Date"). No reason needs to be given and no penalty or cancellation fee will be due. You must notify UWIC in writing on or before the Cancellation Date by letter, fax or e-mail using the contact details provided below.

These terms and conditions are between Cardiff Metropolitan University (Cardiff Met) and you ("You" or "Your"). By submitting Your enrolment You are agreeing to these terms and conditions and that they apply to Your course. All dealings between Cardiff Met and You shall be governed by these terms and conditions.

Nothing in these terms shall operate to exclude or limit Cardiff Met's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, any breach of Cardiff Met's statutory obligations or fraud.

No refund shall be given if You do not access the on-line materials through Cardiff Met's virtual learning environment, Blackboard. No refund shall be given and the full course fee shall remain payable should You fail the optional assessment provided by Cardiff Met and Cardiff Metmakes no guarantee as to Your successfully passing the module assessment.

Cardiff Met reserves the right to cancel and/or amend course dates, times and contents. Every effort will be made to give You as much notice as possible and offer a reasonable alternative. If these are not satisfactory,Cardiff Met shall refund in full the price of the course. No further compensation will be given.

Cardiff Met shall not be liable to You whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise for any loss of profit; anticipated profits; revenues; anticipated savings; goodwill or business opportunity; or for any indirect or consequential loss or damage whatsoever or for any failure to comply with its obligations due to an event beyond Cardiff Met's reasonable control. Cardiff Met's aggregate liability to You whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise shall in no circumstances exceed the total sum paid or payable by You to Cardiff Met under the Contract.

You shall indemnify Cardiff Met for any loss or expenses caused as a result of providing inaccurate information to Cardiff Met, mistakes contained within Your enrolment or any personal injury or death caused by You not following Cardiff Met's guidelines correctly.

No other person or body who is not a party to the Contract has any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any terms of the Contract.

These terms and conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with English and Welsh law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh Courts.
