Welcome to the Food Industry Skills Project led by the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC).

This collaborative project has been awarded £250,000 funding from the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW) to develop a unique Masters programme and a series of short courses designed to meet the needs of the food & drink sector.

The development and retention of food technologists is recognized as a key factor in the success of the sector in Wales. For this reason, we are designing a bursary scheme to encourage individuals to become involved in a very exciting and fast moving industry. Through active partnerships with key players in acedemia and industry, we are creating a mutually beneficial and rewarding experience for learners and project partners.
