Cardiff School of Sport
Cardiff School of Sport
Based at the Cyncoed campus, Cardiff Met's Cardiff School of Sport, with its 60-year history, is a recognised centre of excellence in the UK, with an established national reputation for the quality of its academic, sporting and professional work. Cardiff Met's sports and leisure facilities are open to all; so whether you are a top class athlete, a casual player or you have not taken part in sport on a regular basis, you are very welcome at Cardiff Met. For further information on our Sports facilities, visit the 'Facilities' page of the school website by clicking here.

The university has recently invested over £250,000 in re-developing and refurbishing both the Cyncoed and Llandaff fitness centres during the Summer of 2012.

The fitness centre at Cyncoed has been expanded to cater for a larger free weights training area with a greater provision of equipment, including three Hammer Strength squat racks.  The cardio vascular (CV) equipment has been replaced with brand new ‘Life Fitness’ equipment and the CV area has also increased in size.

The equipment in the Llandaff centre has been replaced with modern, state of the art equipment and new, smarter flooring has been laid to improve the appearance and image of the facility.
