Humanities students in Cardiff explore a wide range of contemporary issues, centred in an appropriate historical, theoretical and practical context.

Life as a Humanities student

When you study Humanities you’ll work closely with a personal tutor, who will build on your existing knowledge and guide your academic and professional development.

Most Humanities students also take an active part in college life, joining the numerous societies on our Cardiff campus and travelling with us to places like Brussels, Paris or Amsterdam.  What’s more, you’ll have a chance to study abroad as part of our ERASMUS exchange.

What will you study in your Humanities degree?

Humanities covers a variety of subjects, but whatever your choices, you’ll encounter challenging topics that prepare the ground for future study and employment.

Our Joint Degrees are based in Cardiff and are focused around English, Contemporary Media, Creative Writing and Drama:
