Our professionally accredited programme in Food Science and Technology* will provide you with a broad understanding of modern food industries. It combines theoretical studies and practical work, which are supported by industrial work placements in the food industry.

A career in the food industry will put you in the middle of one of the largest and most important economic activities in the world. Career prospects are excellent, with the food industry in continuous need for professionally trained graduates in this area. For eligible first year students joining the BSc in Food Science & Technology in September 2013, the opportunity to receive an iPad and £1000 towards supporting their studies will exist through funded projects with the food industry. Our professionally accredited programme in BSc (Hons) Healthcare Science* offers students excellent career prospects.The programme is closely linked with the workforce planning requirements for NHS Wales, therefore offering an enhanced level of employability for graduates.

 

The study of Healthcare Science is a dynamic and continually evolving discipline that requires highly trained individuals to perform an array of laboratory based techniques that contribute to the overall care and wellbeing of patients. It includes the specialisms of Blood Science, Cellular Science, Genetic Science and Infection Science and will provide students with excellent opportunities to develop their practical skills through work placements within accredited labs.
