UWIC works with world’s best
THE University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC) has signed an agreement with one of the world’s leading management centres.
The Cardiff School of Management at UWIC and the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore (IIMB) have signed a memorandum that will allow an exchange of knowledge and collaborative research work.
As part of this agreement there will be opportunities for student exchange, faculty exchange visits and joint research projects.
Professor Graham Hall, the Director of UWIC’s MBA Programme, said “The Cardiff School of Management is very excited about the link it has just forged with IIMB, which is not only the leading centre for management education in India, but is world-class, almost in the same league as Harvard or Yale.
“UWIC’s long-term aim is to become a major international player and this joint venture is one of many steps to achieve this.”
IIMB was established in 1973. The attractive campus is located on 100 acres of park on the outskirts of Bangalore, a city renowned for high technology. IIMB is a premier centre for post graduate management education and research and is particularly known for disciplines such as business strategy and finance.
