Cardiff Metropolitan University has welcomed the latest UCAS figures, which puts the University ahead of the national average with an increase of nearly 5% on its number of applicants for entry in September 2013.
While witnessing a generally positive rise in applications, the University is seeing a particular increase in  demand in applications for places on sport, business and art & design courses.

Such an increase in the number of applicants is positive in a period where applications across the UK are currently showing a modest rise and a 2% fall nationally in applications from Welsh students.

Speaking about the latest figures, Richard Moremon, Director of Marketing & Communications at Cardiff Metropolitan University said:
“We’re encouraged by this positive increase in applicants – a testament to both the standards of teaching and facilities we have here at Cardiff Met, which continue to attract high calibre students, both within the UK and internationally and in our high-class facilities.”
