Cardiff Met Entry Requirements 

Students who have the following qualifications may be considered for direct entry onto relevant schemes at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Foundation Courses 


The equivalent of 5 GCSEs (Grade C and above) to include Maths and English

Undergraduate Courses












Students with good grades in their Polytechnic / College of Technology Diploma (3- to 4-years in duration).

OR Students with good grades in their Indian Certificate of Education - awarded on completion of Standard X AND who have completed a recognised Foundation Course.

OR Students with good grades in their Higher Secondary School Certificates - Indian School Certificate (ISC) / Intermediate Certificate / Higher School Certificate / Higher Secondary Certificate / All India Senior School Certificate / Pre-University Course - awarded on completion of Standard XII

Postgraduate Courses    



Students with the following qualifications from a recognised institution in India:

Bachelor of Arts / Science (Honours / Special degree).
OR Bachelor of Arts / Science / Commerce.

OR Bachelor degree in professional subjects.

OR Bachelor of Science (Engineering).

OR Bachelor of Engineering / Technology.

OR Bachelor of Law (LLB).

OR Bachelor of Education (4 year integrated programme) Master of Engineering or Technology.

OR Master of Philosophy.

OR Master's degree.

OR Post-graduate Diploma in Management.

OR Master of Arts / Science / Commerce.

OR Postgraduate Diploma.

OR students with a Bachelor degree from a recognised institution in the UK.





Good grades in English at 10th and 12th. Also evidence of having been taught through the medium of English OR
IELTS 4.5 (4.0 in each area) is required for Foundation
IELTS score of 6.0 (5.5 in each area) is required for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Courses

A new film has been made through a collaboration between UK universities, the British Council in Delhi and the Home Office to help students understand the UK Student Visa Application System. Prospective Indian students, and their parents, hear a lot of myths about the application process and the UK's student visa system.
