I joined Cardiff Metropolitan University (formerly UWIC) in 2000 as Finance Administrator for the Cardiff School of Sport and assisted the Business Support Manager and the Dean in their management of the School’s financial operations, procurement and staff development.

In 2008 I was awarded a Masters in Business Administration. My dissertation focused on the training and recruitment of managers within multinational supermarket chains.

In November 2011, I took up the post of Finance and Project Officer for the Elevate Cymru Project which is based in the Cardiff School of Management.

Elevate Cymru is part of the Work Based Learning programme, funded by the Convergence European Social Fund, through the Welsh Government. The project aims to build a Pan Wales approach to the leadership and management high level skills needs of micro, small and medium to large sized businesses. The key objective is to encourage a partnership and networking approach with key business brokerages to respond to the immediate priorities for sustaining and developing private organisations which are based in the convergence areas of Wales. The project will be delivered through four networks of Universities and Colleges.

Prior to joining Cardiff Metropolitan University I have had over 25 years experience in the private sector as administrator and accounts manager.
