Rebecca started her teaching career at Wolverhampton University in 1994 in the Business Strategy and Entrepreneurship Department. Then in 2000, moved to UWIC to set up the Retail Management Degree and HND which was validated in 2001 and ran for nine years. The Business Studies degree has now been developed to include a Retail Management Pathway which will be the primary programme for Retail Management within UWIC from 2010.
Within UWIC, Rebecca is a member of both the Strategic Management Field Group and the Marketing and Retail Field Group, and has just developed a Strategic Retail Management module as part of the MBA programme.
Rebecca graduated from the Nottingham Trent University with an HND in Business Studies (Retail and Distribution) and then from Wolverhampton University with a BA (Hons) Business Enterprise. After spending some years in industry, returned to higher education and graduated from Wolverhampton University with a PGCE in Further and Higher Education, and a Diploma in Teaching and Learning and in 2000 an MBA from Liverpool University. Rebecca is also a full member of the Institute of Learning and Teaching and The Academy of Management.
Rebecca is currently undertaking a part-time PhD, investigating the role of strategy with in Small Independent Retailers. Her areas of research interest links Strategy, Retail and Entrepreneurship.
