After graduating in Beijing University (also known as Peking University) in 2005 with a Degree in Economics as well as a Degree in Philosophy, I went to University of York and finished my MSc in Economics and Finance in 2006. My career was started in an investment consulting company, providing legal and financial advice for governments and companies in public facilities projects, including power plants, water plants, sewage treatment plants, highways, and undergrounds in the form of BOT, TOT, or BT, as well as M&A activities. I left the company in 2007 to pursue my PhD in Economics in Cardiff University, but I still keep close connection with local business and work as a part-time Business Adviser for Confused.com (Admiral Group plc).

During my PhD, I have been involved in various research projects related to entrepreneurship, SMEs, trade, innovation, labour economics and other Applied Microeconomics projects. Meanwhile, my thesis is on Macroeconomics--"Heterogeneous Price Setting and DSGE Models", using Bayesian Inference and Maximum Likelihood. I teach Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics and Finance for undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD modules.
