Jane Croad, joined Johnson and Johnson as a graduate, after completing a BSc in Biology at Manchester University.  Following a successful career progression to assistant Marketing Manager for the ethical division of J & J in Ascot and gaining experience in the headquarters of Johnson and Johnson in New Brunswick, New Jersey, US, Jane returned to Wales, working as Business development manager for Gwalia Housing society in Swansea. Jane initiated many projects to diversify Gwalia’s portfolio, including  initiating successful strategic cooperation between Aberystwyth University and Gwalia housing led by Jane ,resulted in the a significant improvement in structural redevelopment and management of student accommodation at Aberystwyth, this was used as a model throughout Wales for co-operation between Universities and housing associations.

Whilst working Jane completed a Masters in Marketing at Glamorgan University and professional qualification in Marketing, provided Jane with the academic qualifications and senior management experience to provide consultancy to Blue chip companies, including Johnson and Johnson, Smith and Nephew, Finforest, Wimpey Homes, Rhondda Cynon Taff County Council and Housing for Wales. Jane is a Senior lecturer at UWIC, researching in geographic economics and cultural diversity, with a special interest in the Middle East.  Recent projects have included working with the British Council and Cardiff City Council on the Open Cities Project, researching in Egypt on the societal changes and is working in the charitable sector with Pedal Power, a Cardiff Charity with the objective of inclusion for all in cycling. Jane has two young daughters and lives with her husband, two dogs, three chickens and two ducks in Cardiff.
