Dr Hilary Berger is a Senior Lecturer with a First Class BSc. (Honours) in Business Information Systems within the Cardiff School of Management of UWIC. Her teaching responsibilities involve both undergraduate and postgraduate students across a range of degree programmes that involve a variety of information systems modules.


She also has PhD from the University of the Wales that utilised a Government IS/IT Project as a case study to explore the issues relative to IS development approaches with the application of agile development methods in large and complex arenas. Consequently her research interests relate specifically to the design and development of information systems and a number of associated problems such as user involvement, knowledge management, cultural and human issues and outsourcing that aim to explore, understand and develop new innovative solutions to continued problems in the field.


Hilary is an active member of the CSM’s research group Information Systems, Technology & People and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Professional Member of the British Computer Society’s Special Interest Group in Human-Computer Interaction.
