Heledd is a senior lecturer in Business and Management studies with the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol, working regionally to develop Welsh-medium provision at the Glamorgan Business School (University of Glamorgan) and Cardiff School of Management (Cardiff Metropolitan University). She is responsible for developing modules and materials, lecturing and tutoring, and undertaking new research in the field. She is also responsible for marketing and recruitment activities in Welsh-medium secondary schools that feed the universities.
Between 2005-11 Heledd was a Policy Manager with the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA), where she was responsible for representing the views of Welsh local authorities in national policy development in areas such as leisure, arts and culture, tourism and the Welsh language. She was responsible for giving evidence before the Assembly's scrutiny committees and legislative committees and represented the Association on a number of Ministerial advisory committees. She worked closely with leaders and cabinet members from local authorities across Wales, developing policy papers and writing responses to various national consultations.
Before that, she worked for the economic development company, Menter a Busnes, where she led on the company's advisory work developments through tendering, research methodology, carrying out qualitative and quantitative research and management of various projects. She was also part of the team that established a successful initiative, Y Ffatri Fenter, funded by Objective 1 money, which provides business support to young people across Wales.
Heledd has trained as a Prince 2 project management practitioner. She has a masters degree in Entrepreneurship and a first class degree in Welsh.
