Hefin David holds a BScEcon in Economics and Politics, an MScEcon in European Policy, both from Cardiff University and a PGCE from the University of Wales, Newport.
He teaches Organisational Behaviour on the MBA and undergraduate programmes and works with Allan Screen on the core MBA module ‘People and Organisations’. Hefin and Allan have developed live cases and lively delivery methods for this module, ensuring that students gain an opportunity to experience real scenarios and not just text book examples.
Hefin also leads the Managing Change MBA elective and this module also addresses real problems- most recently in 2009, students advised local authority politicians on the South East Wales Shared Services project and took part in the decision making process.
His research interests are in the field of small firm development and growth and specifically on the first employment experiences and early employment decisions of owner managers (see publication details below).
Hefin is also a Caerphilly County Borough Councillor and finds his knowledge of organisational behaviour and strategic management invaluable in this role.
