Cyncoed is home to the Cardiff School of Education and the Cardiff School of Sport.
It is a busy campus that offers on-site accommodation and a new purpose-built Campus Centre. The campus offers excellent sporting facilities, on-site shop, coffee bars and refectory. The campus also acts as the head office for the Students’ and Athletics Union.

The 52/52A bus travels from the city centre to the Cyncoed campus every 15 minutes during the day, via Albany Road and Penylan Road.
During term time, the U1 MetRider bus travels from Llandaff to the Cyncoed campus every hour.
Cardiff Metropolitan University offers a MetRider bus pass for students and staff, which gives unlimited access to the entire Cardiff Bus network from the 1st September till the 30th June. If you take the bus more than two days each week, the MetRider pass will save you money.
Heath High Level and Heath Low Level railway stations are approx. 25 minutes walk from the Cyncoed campus, serving the area from the Rhymney and Coryton lines. See National Rail Enquiries for train times.
Cardiff benefits from a network of cycle routes, including many traffic-free cycle paths. To plan your journey by bicycle to Cyncoed campus, visit Cycle Streets. Cycle route maps are also available from reception at each Cardiff Metropolitan University campus.
